Tuesday’s Jan. 6 Hearing to Focus on Proud Boys, Oath Keepers

WASHINGTON—The House committee investigating the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol will focus its hearing Tuesday on potential connections between former President Donald Trump’s efforts to overturn the 2020 election and far-right groups allegedly at the center of the day’s violence.

The panel’s seventh hearing so far this year, scheduled for 1 p.m. ET on Tuesday, will likely feature taped testimony by former White House counsel Pat Cipollone, committee members have said. Witnesses testified that Mr. Cipollone, who was interviewed behind closed doors on Friday, was present for a number of important events inside the White House in the days leading up to and including Jan. 6.
