The Memphis Grizzlies have hired Milwaukee Bucks assistant Taylor Jenkins as their new head coach, a source confirmed to The Commercial Appeal on Tuesday.
The Grizzlies had been looking for a new head coach for two months since firing former coach J.B. Bickerstaff following the end of the 2018-19 season.

Jenkins becomes the franchise’s fifth head coach since owner Robert Pera acquired the team in 2012.
He was previously an assistant coach with the Atlanta Hawks under Bucks coach Mike Budenholzer and also served as a head coach for the Austin Toros of the NBA Development League during the 2012-13 season.
The Bucks advanced to the Eastern Conference finals and compiled the NBA’s best regular-season record this past year.
