For the third year in a row, the Houston Astros are champions of the American League West.
George Springer hit three home runs to lead Houston to a 13-5 rout of the Los Angeles Angels on Sunday to secure the division title. It also helped the Astros keep pace with the New York Yankees in the battle for the best overall record — and home field advantage throughout the playoffs.

With one week remaining in the regular season, the Astros are the fourth team to clinch a division title – joining the Yankees, Atlanta Braves and Los Angeles Dodgers.
With their 102nd victory, the Astros moved to within one of equaling the franchise record for wins in a season, which they set last year.
