Raiders rookie Josh Jacobs did not forget everything his dad did for him through a tough upbringing.

At times, the family was homeless. Josh’s father, Marty, sacrificed for his children, helping Josh and his siblings make it.

To show thanks to his father, the running back bought his father a house in Oklahoma.

Many people know Jacobs’ story. Growing up homeless, Jacobs at times lived with his four siblings in his father’s car. He overcame those obstacles to become a football star at the University of Alabama and a first-round NFL draft pick.

“Sleeping in the car, I always look back on it,” Jacobs said at the time. “It’s always going to be something that molded me into who I am. It might have been rough, but, I mean, it’s my life.”

Jacobs rushed for 1,150 yards and seven touchdowns in averaging 4.8 yards per carry and caught 20 passes for 166 yards, despite missing three of the Raiders’ final four games with a fracture in his right shoulder.
