Tony Dungy was laughing while he said it, but he wasn’t joking.

The former Indianapolis Colts coach, appearing Tuesday on the “Rich Eisen Show,” said he believes the best match for Tom Brady — if he doesn’t stay with the New England Patriots — is the Colts.

“As crazy as it sounds, the best spot might be Indianapolis,” Dungy said. “I know they’ve been bitter rivals, but they’ve got good young receivers, they have a lot of speed, they have a great running back, they’ve got a tremendous offensive line, and they’ve got a defense in place.”

Dungy acknowledged quarterback Jacoby Brissett had a strong start to the 2019, but his performance late in the season keeps the door open for team owner Jim Irsay and general manager Chris Ballard to pursue other options.
